Introducing GameMastertale!
Or GMtale for short! The 2nd out of my 3 aus!
This world is more complex with the characters so I'm gonna introduce the main ones, Chara and Frisk. Hopefully this comic shows a bit of their roles, and I'll share more drawings in the future about this au! (Mainly cuz it's still a w.i.p)
Also, I've been making so much art about it that's just laying around, so I'll definitely be showing more of those and other characters in the near future too (hopefully)
In case my handwriting is unreadable:
[Your soul longed for]
[FREEDOM]
[But you are too weak...]
[Yet...]
[You called for help...]
[But nobody came...]
... This has been sitting in my drafts since February...

Official PLAYER/Anemone Design + Lore!
The first character with a fully completed backstory! PLAYER is on the left, while Anemone is the human/disguise on the right. Just to be clear: This is not the player from UNDERPLAYER. To be clear, I will refer to Restricted’s player as “PLAYER”, and the one from UNDERLAYER as “Player”. However, this PLAYER is very similar to the Player from UNDERPLAYER.
They came from the same timeline: in fact, Player currently stuck during in Undertale is PLAYER’s twin. While they were back home, Player had vanished. The only thing they left behind was Undertale, up and running on a computer. So PLAYER struck out on a mission- they had long ago shared their twin’s fascination with Undertale, but they had always appreciated the creativity behind the fandom and their alternative routes. Curiosity led them to program themselves into the game, although this time they were more successful than Player. They were able to access all the alternate timelines and program themselves into that, vowing to get a “Perfect Ending” for their sibling.
They first stumbled upon Underfell, where they adopted their iconic red-striped look after UF! Frisk suggested it. They moved over to UnderSwap, but they became dissatisfied with just following US! Chara through the Underground. They killed US! Chara, shattered their soul so that they wouldn’t be able to interfere, and modified the code so that the characters recognized PLAYER as the eighth fallen human. They went through the True Pacifist, Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide Routes of UnderSwap, then they coded themselves from UnderSwap to HorrorTale, performing the same feats and then moving from HorrorTale to DreamTale, Storyshift, Storyshift: Facing Demons, DustTale, and eventually all of the timelines. They were becoming dissatisfied and increasingly frustrated and volatile with having experienced all the endings and interactions, and still not yet achieving an ending they deemed to be perfect.
InkShift Chara met them as PLAYER was in the midst of disassembling and reassembling their code for other timelines. Having had sensed the true amount of LOVE within their soul, InkShift called upon Atonement. (An OC designed by Tarylem: Atonement takes on the form of an unknown Sans AU, although in actuality he is a force created to dispense justice, and is present everywhere, not just in Undertale and Deltarune.)
Atonement managed to take PLAYER by surprise. He stripped them of their coding abilities and tore out their soul.
InkShift hid their soul within the only alternate universe PLAYER had not visited, forcing the timeline to jam it into a desperate host to stabilize the sudden power transfusion. Almond became PLAYER’s new host, as InkShift Chara had unknowingly given PLAYER reign over Almond and the created body (Anemone), allowing them to switch between the two at will.
This sketch took a while, mainly because I wasn’t able to think of a pose for PLAYER/Anemone. The others won’t take as long, for certain. -ASRIEL.
edit: eeee. Rereading this lore’s making me all giddy again- I really want to start coding the basics, but I’m not sure what program to run it with- GameMaker Studio runs on a jumble of C++ and C#, so if something happens to the program I won’t know what to do. :( I’m only good with HTML, but if HTML’s not available JavaScript’s second, although I’m really slow with JS. .-. But if that’s the only option left, then it’ll be better than nothing- Toby Fox used GameMaker Studio for Undertale’s battle system, as well as GMS 2 for Deltarune. Seems like a good candidate.

Snippets from Dolphin's undisclosed workplace:
One manager likes to sing the catchiest jingles from children's cartoons and get them stuck in everyone else's heads. Last week was the backpack song from Dora the Explorer, this week it's Dragon Tails. She also puts random movies and shows on the TVs when it's late and we have no business, and is invested in Forged by Fire as a result
"Do you think a Swiffer would burn the top of the oven?" "No, but I think the oven would burn a Swiffer." "SHUT UPPP"
*said during a serious conversation about climate change, in an old-man voice* "Back in my day we used to have FOUR seasons! And I DON'T mean the hotel!"
Same person approached me with a wadded ball of dough and puppetted it in front of me like an evil slime monster while making rasping breathing sounds. Needless to say I died laughing
He also likes to admire pepperonis as they curl in the oven and dance quietly whenever nothing is going on. I like to join him, to my general manager's chagrin. We think he is jealous because as a GM he is not unprofessional enough to dance
My general manager is a warm and friendly man who comes across as more business-minded but still funny. Today after completing my training he confessed to me unprompted that the map of our delivery range looks uncannily like the side profile of the grandmother from Hey Arnold! He's right, and now I can't unsee it
*GM slipped on a mushroom* "Uh oh, he's tripping on shrooms!!"
My coworkers agreed I need to work on my manager voice, they said they'd be shocked to hear me yell. I waited until they were put of the building and yelled as loud as I could, but I sounded like an irate goose 😅
I have been known to make animals out of leftover dough. Not to brag but some of them turn out really good 😌
The store owner relayed an interesting story about a recent even at the other location: apparently someone dashed into the store, grabbed a giant pizza right off of a family's table, and ran out the door. Looney Toons-ass crimes happening there apparently
Everytime I hold the oven mitts I turn into a crab clickclick and everytime i hold a pizza peel I turn into master lancer stabby stab
(did you know that the stick you use to get a pizza out of the oven is called a pizza peel. I didn't know, I had to google it)
One of my coworkers is a socially awkward high schooler who has shared some extremely worrying stories from his life like the time his sister got raped but my favorite interaction with him was when he told me all about Undertale AUs, which I thankfully had some knowledge about due to watching a YouTube video about them a week prior. Rather than the edgy ones like Underfell or Error Sans it sounded like his favorite was the kindest version of Frisk (I forget the name but they rescue characters from bad AUs) because it made him feel hopeful ;_;
A different pair of teens who work here discovered they could overwhelm the label maker's character limit and get it to print in an entirely different font as a result
Every day since I started I have deliberately misspelled my name on my cup to see if anyone notices. Usually it's just the first few letters followed by keysmashes but ocassionally I name it things like "rawr XD" and *Wilhelm screams*
A few weeks after I started i was bored and doodling my go-to monsters on scrap paper. My coworkers liked them so much they taped them to the side of the Pepsi cooler ;_;
My insatiable desire for removable vandalism has led me to hiding stickers of my go-to monster mascot around the store. So far none have been found to my knowledge. I did show off the box whose bottom I completely covered with the little guys though
Half of the store is quite short, myself included. We all make fun of each other for it but I still refuse to get a step stool out when reaching for things on the top shelf
Every time I prep tomatoes I whisper "Ludger-coded" to myself
But I spend most of my time writing gay fan fic in my head
#dolphin noises#it's just retail customer service but man it's nice when you actually like/respect your coworkers and are respected in turn#it's not always fun and games but in general I'm happy here#Dont ask why I'm posting at 4 AM my sleep schedule is fucked

This...plot bunny won't go away...gonna have to make it a tag...
The whole thing I'm thinking is that, after the war when the kids leave on their own, they find this book in a store. Well...Owain, Cynthia, or Meiri (F!Morgan if she's the daughter of a F!Robin since I like the two Morgans together stuff) probably. Maybe Morgan. They somehow get everyone to play it together.
Other than that, I don't know. Hell, I don't even KNOW stuff other than the basics about Tabletop RPGs but I've seen enough memes (and a comic dub of a hilarious Undertale comic where Monster Kid GMs a game, Asriel keeps trying to do all the cool things, Frisk befriends dungeon monsters, Chara kills monsters Frisk befriended and Monster Kid was genre savvy enough to make that a secret objective).

Stat It Out: Held at gunpoint
You know that classic scene in a spy or crime thriller where some gun toting fellow's got our intrepid protagonist(s) held at their mercy? Well today, let's figure out how to run that in a ttrpg in a more complex way than your generic held action or skill roll. So the purpose of this is tension, place players in a tough situation where they want to get around the enemy's weapon in a more clever way than just attacking immediately. However powerful you make the weapon the enemy is aiming, the players should know it immediately. This is easy to do in a setting like those that this trope emerged out of, where the characters are in mortal fear of the bullet. In something like classic D&D or other more high power settings, the players will have to be informed beforehand or receive some sort of demonstration otherwise they are likely to just rush. Once the danger is established, choose a difficulty for directly overcoming the gunpoint. However the game establishes difficulty, be it a modifier, target number, or number of successes, choose and share with the players. The level should be determined by the distance between the weapon and those targeted, the level of speed necessary for a player to act before the enemy, the readyness/skill of the enemy, and the speed a player would need to cross to break line of fire before being hit. If player's have some sort of modifier like D&D's AC that reduces the enemy's chance to hit, then apply an appropriate reduction in difficulty. Once the difficulty is set, let the player(s) threatened try actions with different skills and apply reductions to the difficulty from successes (by changing those original factors that determined the difficulty). If the difficulty is reduced to 0 or some other appropriately low number, resolve the challenge without needing to have the confrontation roll. If a player's action fails, it may increase the difficulty or force the confrontation roll to happen without any other actions. GMs may also put a limit on the number of actions before a confrontation roll based on the situation the player is in. The Confrontation Roll: after whatever actions are taken, the player(s) finally either make a scramble for the gun/weapon, draw their own and try to act before the enemy, or try to escape/break line of fire. For this they make their final roll against the modified difficulty. Success means they are able to accomplish the chosen goal before combat begins. Failure means that the enemy fires before the player's goal is completed. This either means a free hit in systems where the exact result of the attack roll isn't needed to know its result, or just an attack roll with a very significant bonus to it. Example: The scene from La Samurai that I used as the image for this post. The player fails their perception/spot/notice/recon check and are taken unawares by the tan trenchcoated foe. The difficulty is set pretty high so the player does not immediately act. The GM makes an offer of a temporarily reduced difficulty as long as the player confronts without an action before (this is when the enemy frisks the protagonist). The player chooses instead to attempt some sort of Nerve/Will/Charisma style roll and succeeds, reducing the difficulty by not letting the enemy read any cues off him. He then rolls a persuasion check, saying that he doesn't talk to men with guns on him, and succeeds greatly. The enemy puts the gun into his jacket, reducing the gunpoint difficulty to an incredibly low level. The player then takes the chance and succeeds at a melee attack to overcome the confrontation difficulty, ending the gunpoint.

More Wormfic I Won't Write: Undertale Edition
(This won't leave my head, it's another one of those ideas that would be in the 100k's of words if I could actually put in the work to write it)
Basically post-GM Taylor in the Underground.
The concept is pretty simple on the surface, Taylor falls down into the Underground and acts in place of Frisk. There's hints that there's more going on- why did she decide to investigate disappearances on a mountain that's supposed to be dangerous? What does she mean when her narration says "it's not like I have anyone to go back to"? Something implied to have happened to Danny, and maybe she's got the same unconscious mentality as when she faced down Lung on her first night out.
She meets Flowey and goes straight into fight or flight, thinking there's crazy powers stuff happening, and that's enough of a coincidence that it must be someone taking revenge for her controlling them. She's distrustful of Toriel for this reason, initially thinking of her as the Good Cop to Flowey's Bad Cop, to get her to some secondary location. Worse still that Toriel's a well-read maternal figure, and living with her is so enticing that it has to be a trap, right?
After some more earned trust, Taylor follows a lot of the basic path of the game, for different reasons. With the game mechanics and fantasy tropes, Taylor reasons out that she must be stuck in some sort of virtual reality game, maybe to punish her, maybe to rehabilitate her (sort of like the Tinker psychologically-affecting video game from PHO Sundays a while back). Staying with Toriel would be living a fake fantasy. No need to examine why a quiet life without conflict feels false, right? Just move forward.
I don't know how the bulk of that adventure would go, but she defeats Flowey- who, on the surface, comes off as reminiscent of Sophia, aggressively defending the Kill Or Be Killed worldview, as if he couldn't deal with life if that worldview doesn't hold . That he sees this world as a game is a good parallel, on top of the Kill Or Be Killed thing paralleling Taylor's inability to accept a peaceful life.
Taylor goes through the barrier, returns to her now empty home, and... there's something wrong. That nagging sense at the back of her mind, that she can still load her old save file. Which means, based on her mistaken assumptions, she's not out of the game.
Taylor resets everything. She's determined to tear this entire "simulation" to pieces to find a way out, and her starting LV is naturally pretty high anyway, she's been a killer for a while now. So it's easy to just kill everyone until the game can't function. Which ends predictably to anyone who knows what happens in Undertale. Sans doesn't really get what's motivating her or where she's come from, but he repeatedly tears her down, and Taylor isn't really good enough to win against him, especially in the state that those repeated deaths leave her in.
Taylor resets. Again.
Admitting defeat, Taylor tries a different tack, winning on the "game's" terms. I'm not sure what her relationships to the different monsters are- Undyne is friend material while Papyrus is so cartoony it's jarring. IDK. Learning about Alphys' morally complex actions would actually give her someone to relate to, despite all the unpleasant Cauldron parallels. The idea that Alphys could take responsibility for her own actions and somehow be forgiven is unthinkable enough that I think it would actually shake Taylor a little bit.
And reaching the proper ending, well, that's where things go wrong. I don't know how it would be contrived, but Toriel doesn't get taken by Flowey. Flowey goes Full Asriel, and he can break the barrier, but there's more than one barrier that can be broken. Another one, invisible, untouchable, and it seems to be weakest around Taylor. But there are Souls on the other side, a lot of them. He cracks reality, smashing the barrier keeping the Queen Administrator away from Taylor's head.
What comes next is more like a magical version of Khepri, having absorbed Asriel. A Titan, but the size of a person. And everyone in the Underground is placed under her control.
The way I imagine it, Toriel is Taylor's new anchor, and was spared. She travels all the way to where Taylor is. There's a twisted version of the New Home sequence from the game, where monsters being puppeted by Khepri-Asriel tell some part of Taylor's story, the same way they tell Asgore's in the actual game. Complete with "aren't you happy? Everyone is working together."
Toriel is the perspective of the final battle, sort of like OFF, and she does what Frisk does in the game, freeing the other monsters one by one. And it's the friends Taylor made on her adventure that are able to reach out and pull Taylor back to humanity, in a way that wouldn't believably happen with the Titans in Ward. Taylor becomes herself again, and, understanding that this was never a game, is able to walk into the sunset with a sense that maybe she can Learn To Be Okay.
#Parahumans#Undertale#Ward Spoilers#yeah this seems way too involved to actually write#but as always anyone can feel free to steal this I guess

D&D Quotes Without Context
Ravenloft Edition, Dementlieu Arc, part 5
"Oh good, we don't have to go to the creepy play. So what do we have planned for today?" “Debauchery?” “Five gold says the play killed him at his desk.” You see that the window is open, and that there are muddy footprints leading to behind the chair of the desk. “Mudmen. Of course.” As for the biggest book, you find a good twenty pounder on one of the top shelves: I, Strahd, the unabridged edition. Gorbash: "...Theater is such a cutthroat business." Jonni: “You should see what real estate is like.” "Yeah everyone in this town are liars and phonies and hypocrites. Fucking love this town." “You’re still in the trash can and we have holy water, numb nuts.” “Gentlemen. First, I am Jonni Humantorch. If I was going to kill this man I would have burned him to death like the hundreds of others that pissed me off.” GM: You don't know for plays, but this seems like a perfectly normal, if overly dry and dull, play. Definitely not worthy of the build up its gotten thus far. OOC: That Marshal's creep muppet watchers get bored reading is a good hint of that. "So, going for the whole flesh golem aesthetic? I have to warn you. Flesh bodies have a lot of downsides...like you have to go to the bathroom...a lot." "Hey Simon, hows the sister?" "She's going to be much better once I give her your thumbs as a present." “He’s a robot, you idiot. How did these losers ever escape us the first time?” "Giant robot bug." Jonni frisks him before the fuzz can steal his shit first. OOC: (Sadly, no one can prepare exploding runes this morning. ) Automated hugging machine. "A benefit of working with us: emotional support paladin." OOC: Marshal making a grapple check against sadness.

mod update :V
hey ya’ll! i had a pretty tough time over the holidays... 2020 was a hell year.
i had BIG plans for this year and didn’t realize i was going to miss the actual Christmas date. (i ALWAYS update on christmas for askblogs, have for the last several years) i basically had 2 Christmases, one with mom and one with my dad, and that exhaustion + dropping out of school put me into a hugely unexpected spiral that i’m only now getting out of LOL. if you’re new here, hi. i’m sam. i have bipolar depression and very likely adhd but i can’t afford to get diagnosed. i’m having trouble coping. how r u.
cheek aside, i hope we are all doing at least a little better since the new year and hopefully the spring sunshine will help us all!
but yeah to AFR, i’m bummed i missed out on the date and couldn’t finish the arc. i had TOO much planned tbh and was speeding through it to get to the plot. the idea was that we’d learn more about Frisk’s history and their grandma. We’d have a Big Party with mettaton and Mew Mew and it’d be a HUGE event that was going to be super fun and cool to see the full cast and-!
none of that ended up happening LOL. i jumped to melodrama because i had so much planned that i couldn’t properly space it out. then because i wasn’t updating, i wasn’t getting asks (NOT that anyone’s fault but mine, making that clear rn) and to be honest...
i’ve kinda overcame some coding hurtles i’ve had with gamemaker and have been really getting into working on my fangame. i’m still Not Good yet but it’s fun and what little I do get accomplished feels amazing. with comics, and askblogs specifically, I have to keep a watchful eye on getting feedback (asks, reblogs, comments) and try to make ya’ll engaged while doing detailed and more detailed artwork in short bursts of time. which was fine back when i was more stable and wasn’t trying as hard with backgrounds, but i’m rusty and got used to detail.
i’ve been growing a distate for online comics for these last few years (comics are insanely extensive and quickly enjoyed) and i’m not... sure... how to go about this anymore...
i’ve been keeping it a secret but I’ve wanted to do the DarkWorld finale in animation. i’ve done some animatics, tried out making sprites (i even considered making a fangame for it, or a fan animation using GMS 2.3.1) but its been taking a long time and its not fair to drag it out so much lmao.
so... what do ya’ll think i should do? cause i still have this big Christmas party thing planned (but like... its too late for christmas and was too ambitious) and the DR event finale won’t be done anytime soon. should i ignore the fact that its january and still do the christmas arc with toned down art? should I just stop making comics?? should i even continue AFR? i can’t expect an actual answer from you guys. this is something i have to figure out for myself...
that said, whenever i run across chara and asriel i get hit with such a strong urge to finish this story. because the end of it, (and i’m not even saying i regret the DR event because that conveyed plot things i wouldn’t have been able to do right through just the regular story w/out the darkworld) the end of AFR is something truly emotionally important to me and has SUCH a huge emotional pay off that I have to tell. so i can’t STOP afr, and i can’t just write a fic version of it cause that’s now how this story was written/structured around.
i’m kinda lost on what to do is what i’m saying. i’ll think about it, but i honestly think maybe I should just drop the christmas stuff and put the dr thing on hold (until i guess the mainstory is done and i can focus on that badass animation i have planned). would that be ok?
also, thanks for sticking by me even when i’ve been basically Gone for months. ya’ll are the best

For the glitchmin AU, I was wondering who the fharacters are.
Yknow like who is GT!frisk, or GT!chara, I’m guessing RHM and Reginald are GM!sans and GM!asriel...
I’m interested in how this story will go
RHM and Reginald are actually supposed to be Undyne and Alphys!
Gaster- Galeforce
Sans- Charles
Papyrus- Burt
Asriel- Ellie
Jessica- Sven
I’ve said before that this au isn’t exactly a “character replaces character au” so roles won’t exactly line up. They mostly there for reference. Kinda diverging from the og glitchtale. Other characters I haven’t mentioned haven’t been giving a role (as I’ve also said before, au is still incomplete).

Introducing Chara and Frisk from Gamemastertale!
Or GMtale for short
The story starts that Chara has felt a calling from the depths of her soul. She couldn't ignore it for long, and eventually followed it to Mt. Ebott, a mountain that she's been told lead to certain doom. Chara doesn't let the tales stop her from the tug that pulls her towards the mountain entrance. Standing at the ledge and peers down the large hole that leads to the underground, one last pull of her heart gives her the determination to jump into the abyss, unknowing of what she is getting into... (Technically a explanation/retelling of the comic I did)
This post is mostly about Chara, though she is linked to Frisk in this au. The roles are reversed, as Frisk is the first fallen human while Chara is the last. Both of them go by She/Her in my aus. Chara has no intention to harm others but fights out of self-defense. Otherwise, she is like the regular Chara: Liking chocolate and is very sassy (according to Fandom).
I'll probably talk more about Frisk's lore in the future.
Also feel free to ask if yall have any questions about my characters cuz I don't explain them enough lol
...This has also been sitting in my drafts for months...

Blissfully Unaware (Dragon Heist Spoilers)
Our party had nothing better to do than to investigate a building to possibly squat in after taking heat from a few sewer murder. I (Goliath Paladin) have an intelligence of 7 and a history of crafting Jewelery, and walked into a bedroom of this abandoned building.
Me, OOC: I walk into the room. Do I see a ball-gag and a whip?
GM: N-…yes. You see a skeleton on the bed, ballgag in his mouth with a Cat ‘o Nine-tails on the bedside.
Me, OOC: Can I roll Intelligence to see if I know what a ballgag is?
The rest of the party murmurs in confusion as I roll a total of 6.
Me, IC: Everyone! I found this strange necklace! (Nobody else was within earshot)
*I pocketed the gag and after completely searching the building we reconvened*
Halfling Monk: Can I roll to see what that is?
GM: Always. *halfling rolls an 8*
GM: You know that it goes in the mouth, so maybe its used in ceremonial fasting?
Aasimar Druid: I’ll do the same. *Rolls a 10*
Druid: It’s used to slow breathing for surgeries. Since you take a lot of damage, you may want to keep that!
And now I have a ballgag floating around in my bag. Hope I don’t get frisked!

Probably a loaded question, but with all the game engines you've worked with, what are the pros and cons for each? I'm really interested in trying my hand. So far I got rpg maker mv for a paid engine, but I'mma l look into free ones also. (Game Maker seems a bit expensive for my tastes :()
GOD YEAH game maker is... so expensive... i’m hoping my bro gets me it for Christmas when its on sale. but even then like. ouch. that price tag.
so here are all the programs I've used to make my fangame at some point:
uh. long ass post ahead.
COST: 15$
its a visual novel making program! like RPG maker, its not code based, but visual based! you just click and drag the stuff from the left onto the right area and boom. game made. Honestly, a really good introduction to making a video game! Its very basic and simple, which is very newbie friendly. Lots of Youtube videos on how to do things too.
You can technically do more with it by using the program’s coding language OR by using java-script, tho personally i’m not good at coding yet so i never really saw what i could do with it. i haven’t really used it in a year but honestly, i can’t thank it enough for being such a good introduction to game development.
Pros: cheap one time fee, easy for newbies and visual based.
Cons: very limited to just visual novels, and even then to do more complex stuff you really have to work for it to get it to work.
RENPY
COST: FREE
THE free visual novel program. It’s a bit of a learning curve since everything is done in script, (ie: no visuals) BUT its VERY simple and easy to learn and once you get it and it clicks, you can do a lot with it! because you code it yourself, the limits are nearly endless. uses it’s own language, but you can also use python (or its built on python? can’t remember lol) and python is built for newbies.
Pros: free, limited only by what you’re willing to learn to do with code, while you can make RPGS its pretty limited since its not built for it
Cons: only super easy to use once you get over the learning curve. if you have any experience w/ code, its a breeze. if not, still easy to learn!, you can only use it for rpgs, NOT a visual program
(and other RPG Maker game engines)
COST: 50$ (EXPENSIVE! but it does go on sale once in a while. i got mine at 20-ish$)
idk if you plan on making a UT fangame too but its totally possible!!! i’m doing it!! and i would be very happy to share/help others with theirs. i mean. mostly its just plugins from other people, but i did set up a pretty nice inventory and i can show ya’ll how i make the sprites. (since UT has a lot smaller tileset size) and honestly, if you need help w/ this program my instant messenger is always open B)
uh anyway. RPG maker is a godsend for someone like me who is very visual minded and has a hard time grasping code. i know python... ok-ish. im still a noob. ANYWAY yah, theres LOTS of tutorials and plugins you can sink your teeth into, big communities who are all happy to share and help each other out. its pretty great! (actually, you could say the same w/ all these game engines! but the RPG maker forums is like. super nice from what i’ve seen)
so like, with youtube you can learn how to use it within a day or two, frankly. and you can do SO much with it w/ plugins. and the community is ages old, and the game itself is a few years old and has plenty to offer. you need something? likely someone else has made a plugin or forum post on the topic and someone has helped them figure it out. HIGHLY recommend this program if you can afford it (and you already have it, so honestly, just go w/ rpg maker.)
i wouldn’t super recommend the default assets cause the community hates them. they’re way over used and people see it as “lazy.” its good as like, a stepping stone but you shouldn’t rely on them for your whole game if you can manage your own graphics or pay someone to make them. if not, theres still free tilesets you can use if you look for them.
Pros: big friendly community, lots of resources to use, capable of A LOT of things, hassle free for the most part!
Cons: price is big, but it goes on sale often and the older versions of RPG maker aren’t that much different/worse. granted, MV is the best but like, the others aren’t bad. quite a bit to learn at first, but really simple honestly.
COST: Free (sorta. you need a license for certain aspects, but really u could do it free w/ zero issue except for exporting to multiple devices)
ok so like. i don’t. really know how to use unity too well. out of all of these, i haven’t used it for long. while still somewhat visual, you still have to learn a quite a bit of code and look up tutorials to figure out specific things you want to do.
for UT fangames, there is UNITALE/Create Your Own Frisk which uses unity, tho you don’t need the Unity to make games unless you want to make a overworld. since i’m making a overworld and more, i’ll need to learn how to use Unity. It’s a uphill battle but i’m fairly certain i can do it eventually.
there’s a LOT of resources but theres also a LOT to learn. untiy is pretty big and well known, for both 3d and 2d so like, go ham. have fun.
Pros: can do anything
Cons: can do anything so you gotta learn how to do it w/ code.
Cost: has both a subscription and a license you can purchase. its,,, pricey and doesn’t go on sale all too often.
I actually don’t have ANY experience with this program except for like. a few night’s worth. i read the manual if that counts for anything lol.
uh, its very script base and it looks good? uh. idk. its. yeah? i heard its great and i’m sure for that price and for it to be respected so much its got a lot live up to. my brother likes it and hes a Real nerd. so. i guess??? it should be worth it? i’d say wait until around Christmas/later in November for the steam sale if you really want to.
i mean, UT was made with the first one (tho i hear GMS 2 is way better) and toby didn’t know how to code going in so like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ honestly anyone can learn it and while i haven’t gotten to use it much yet, I want to.
there’s the Undertale Fan Engine made with GMS 2 and i’ve tried it, its pretty extensive and frickin cool.
TLDR; figure out what kind of game and story you want to tell/make. i could of saved a year’s worth of work if i just sat myself down and realized i wanted to make a completely new fangame separate from my old blog stuff. and that i wanted to make an rpg specifically.
honestly, i want to make more games after AL, like, if i could become a indie dev that’d be my dream. (ironic since i don’t play video games LMAO)
but yeah! theres lots of choices, and its all a little overwhelming honestly! if theres anything you need help with w/ any of these programs I am happy to help further. I wish you the best of luck!!!! video game making is hard work but its so worth it!!!

My job has this new POS system that is running off iPads and the GM caught someone charging their phone off of it and decided that NO ONE is allowed to even have their phone on them at work anymore. 2 managers damn near stop & frisk employees to see if they have their phones and tell them to put them in the back room or go home. TF is this, middle school?

Her fylder vi depoterne lidt op.
- Tasiilaq.
Du har været her i 16 ar. Du kom, fordi du skulle...
Jeg var salgschef for de grønlandske frimærker.
- Jeg skulle være her i tre år. - De tre år blev til 16 år? Hvorfor?
Lars, du skal have noget mad.
Godmorgen. Er det dig, der er Poul?
- Ja. - Og du er havne...
Havnechefen her. Godmorgen og velkommen.
- Lidt udstyr til dig. - Det er lækkert.
Hvad...? Det var da et pænt stort...
Skib.
- Ja.
- Hvor tit kommer hun forbi her?
- Ja.
"Mad!"
- Ja.
Men nogle gange bliver især agurkerne rådne -
- inden de kommer hertil.
- Derfor bestiller vi dem fra Island. - Det er det, man kalder flyfrisk?
- Hvad koster en agurk her?
Elsker haller. - Minder.
Så mange minder.
- Gad vide, hvor mange timer... - Hallo.
- Hej. - Hej.
Er det en, man header til? Det ser sådan ud.
Hej. Hej. Nikolaj.
Suulut.
Suulut? Hej. Godt at møde dig.
- Nikolaj. - J.P.
- Hvad hedder du? - Sejer.
One foot high kick-træning til Inuit Games.
Inuit Games er fra Canada eller Alaska.
De leger inuit-lege.
- Sagde du... var det one foot kick? - One foot high kick.
- Skal jeg prøve? - Det skal du da.
- Skal jeg lige vise? - Ja.
Den her...
- Må man tage? Og køre den ind i det.
- Giv mig lige din hånd. - Ja, ja...
Okay.
Okay.
To meter og 26 centimeter.
- Hvad er din rekord? - To meter og 46.
Bare hold den der.
Er du sindssyg, det er højt.
Prøv lige at se den højde.
Wow!
Kan man ikke bare heade til den? Er det ikke bedre?
Vi klipper det.
- Two foot high kick. - Så er det begge fødder.
I vil gerne have, jeg falder.
I mødes i midten.
- Ja.
- Okay?
Plejer vi at gøre sådan her?
- Skal du også se den? - Ja.
- Okay. - Pas nu på strømperne.
Hold nu op... Hold nu op med det der.
- Skal vi se, hvem der når længst? - Jeg må ikke tage ringen af.
Av for helvede.
Det er helt fantastisk. Det er hårdt. Er der andre discipliner?
- Airplane. - Der var den.
- Airplane. - Ja.
- Gamle Boeing.
- To. - To medaljer?
Hold da kæft. Det er flot.
Er det fra hele...? Undskyld.
Prøv at se. Var det ikke...?
Hvad ville du vælge? Kaffemaskinen eller kaffen, du har lavet?
- Den. - Så tager jeg den.
Har du også lidt mælk?
Tak skal du have.
Åh, en smuk udsigt, mand.
Jeg ringer lige til Nukâka.
Nu kommer de der knotter.
Hej.
Hej, Fillippa.
Hallo?
- Nukâka forsvandt. - Kunne du høre mig?
- Jeg har købt sko i dag. - Hvad for nogle?
2800.
- eller Bluie East Two -
Hvad for nogle fødder?
Undskyld? Hvad skal der ske ellers?
- Vi har fået fodboldbane. - Ja, men skal der ske noget?
Er det første dag? Og hvad så? Så er der flere kampe?
- Vi hygger. - I hygger?
For eksempel fodboldarrangementer.
- Det er jer, der laver det? - Ja.
Noget, hvor man kan bevæge sig. Vi tager børn, unge og ældre med.
Vi går meget op i fodbold her i Østgrønland.
- Ja.
Er det klubben? Skidegodt.
- Det er fedt med den bane her. - Ja, det er dejligt.
- Har du spillet i dag? - Jeg er for ung. Jeg er oldboy.
- Jeg tænkte også, at jeg kunne have spillet med her.
Vi starter i morgen. Turneringen.
- Goddag. -Hej.
- Nicco... - Velkommen.
Den er til dig. En hjelm. Vi går hen til forsiden af gletsjeren.
- Klassisk Poul Nyrup. - Klassisk.
Vi går op og udforsker gletsjeren.
- Finder det ukendte. - Finder det ukendte.
- Godt?
- Lige her? - Ja.
Okay.
Godt. Lad os gøre det.
Gå langsomt hen over stenene.
- Sikke et sted. - Helt ufatteligt.
- Er vi under isen her? - Under gletsjeren, ja.
Ja.
- Hej.
Nå.
- Har du haft travlt? - Ja. Hej.
Du måtte gerne have været en dag forsinket.
Den er da helt vildt flot, mand.
Hold kæft, mand.
Wow.
Du har satanedeme været dygtig.
Det er fandeme imponerende.
